The rooms at Hotel Castrum Villae felt like a cozy home away from home. They had everything I needed - central heating and air-conditioning to keep me comfortable, a satellite TV to unwind with, and a private bathroom for convenience. The free WiFi was a great addition, allowing me to stay connected and share my amazing experiences. And let's not forget the breathtaking views of nature from the balcony - absolutely stunning!
Okay, so here's the thing. I know some people like quiet, but the soundproofing in the twin room wasn't the greatest.

All was fine, no complaints.

Very helpful and friendly staff. Pleasant atmosphere, calm and relaxing dining. Exellent choice of dinner jazz during meal time.
Air conditionning in the room did not function well, it was really hot and unpleasant. Our room faced the back of the hotel, it was very noisy untill 3 am as there is a cafe bar located just next to the rear of the hotel. All in all it was difficult to get some sleep due to the above reasons.

Very well located and cheap.
The breakfast was not that variated. The tv had very few channels.

I recently stayed at Castrum Villae in a peaceful, non-touristic area for my trip in Peneda Geres National Park. The location was ideal, offering stunning mountain views and easy access to hiking trails. The spacious and well-furnished rooms were clean and comfortable, and I particularly enjoyed having a bath in the room. The staff were friendly and always available to provide helpful information. The breakfast had a great selection of fresh fruit, eggs, and cereal.
Strongly recommend this hotel.

Moreover, the hotel's proximity to restaurants and shops made it easy to find what I needed.
All was good.

As youngsters, we loved the spacious and clean rooms, the cozy lounges, and the interesting books and maps in the hotel. The staff were friendly and informative, and the location was perfect for exploring the national park. Free parking and nearby restaurants were a bonus.
We felt completely relaxed, with nothing to complain about.

I absolutely loved the hotel's charming decoration and cozy atmosphere. The vintage furniture and beautiful design made me feel like I was transported to another time. The hotel's general areas were also very accessible for senior people like me, with wide hallways and comfortable seating areas where I could rest and admire the surroundings.
The only thing I would ask for a better vacation for senior people is for the children working there to be a bit more attentive and understanding of our needs. Sometimes, they seemed a bit rushed or impatient when we needed assistance or had questions.

The staff were incredibly welcoming and organized. The property itself had character and charm, with cozy lounges and interesting decor. The location was ideal, with easy access to hiking trails and nearby restaurants. The price was reasonable and the breakfast was good quality.

The location was perfect for adventure-seeking teens like us. We had a blast exploring the stunning Penda-Geres National Park and hiking through the picturesque mountains. The staff was super cool and helped us with all the info we needed for outdoor activities. The best part was coming back to the hotel and chilling on the balcony, enjoying the awesome views of the town and mountains. Best vacation ever!
If there's one thing we'd ask for, it would be a lively atmosphere for young party-goers like us. While the hotel was great for nature tourism activities, we wished there were more social spaces or a vibrant nightlife nearby.

The hotel is located near great outdoor activities and restaurants, making it a convenient location. The room was clean and had good parking. However, the bed was subpar and the cleaning products used left an odor. the staff seemed indifferent and were unhelpful with inquiries about nearby walks. the value for money is okay, but don't expect much comfort.
